Assistant Director for Daycare Center
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Children and Families. My love for children began when I was in high school babysitting some of the children in my neighborhood. Almost immediately I realized I had a blast just running around, playing board games, pretending to go on treasure hunts, singing, and dancing, or just telling made-up stories to those children. This peaked my passion and interest in children’s development. Watching children hit milestones appropriate to their age group is one of the most rewarding aspects of me being in the childcare field. I also love to listen and observe them as they problem-solve or say silly things.
I love working at the Breakie Bunch because of the positive learning environment and energy that all of the teachers put into their lessons and teaching daily.
Q and A with Margaret:
Favorite Classroom Activity: Dancing that follows directions
Favorite Children’s Book: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
Favorite Lesson to Teach: I enjoy teaching through dramatic play. Acting out a story along with reading it leaves such a bigger impact on their learning and love of it.
Favorite Aspect of Infants: Watching them all grow and develop
