What is your tuition rate?
Tuition is based upon your child’s age and family’s scheduling needs. To see all of our scheduling options please contact us for rates and options that meet your specific needs.
For your convenience, tuition is automatically processed weekly for the following week and you don’t have to do anything! You can also pay by cash, check, or online through MyProcare.
What are your teacher qualifications?
We believe in providing your child with educated staff. Most of our lead teachers possess a degree in Early Childhood Development, while many of our teaching assistants are currently working towards their degrees or CDA. Each of our staff members is CPR and First Aid trained and certified, ensuring the health and safety of your child. We also provide a minimum of 24 hours of professional development each year on a variety of topics pertaining to curriculum, health and safety, social and emotional development, and more! We believe everyone is a lifelong learner and love to continue to grow as teachers.
What are your class ratios?
Per state requirements, we follow classroom ratios for your child’s safety and wellbeing:
Birth to 2.5 years 1:4
2.5 to 3 years | 1:8 |
3 years | 1:10 |
4 and 5 years | 1:12 |
School-age and older | 1:18 |
What if I need someone else to pick up my child?
No Problem! Upon enrollment, you will fill out a form with the names of people to who you give permission to pick up your child (you can update it at any time). When they arrive, we will check their photo ID to make sure they are on your list, then help them get your child and their belongings. Please also make sure they have the appropriate car seat in their vehicle.
Do the children have time outside in winter?
Absolutely! We believe the outdoor time is so important for children to have the opportunity to explore and experience all the seasons. We continue to let your children play outside as much as possible, but we monitor winter weather and windchill and only go outside when it’s safe. Please pack proper cold-weather attire for your child.
What do the children do all day?
They learn! They don’t know it because they are having so much fun but each classroom incorporates a curriculum spanning early literacy, science, and math. Our classrooms follow the children’s interests—teachers plan activities centered around topics students want to learn about. Through play, music and movement, and exploration, children learn to thrive and build upon their social and emotional development. Depending on the age of your child, teachers also provide sign language, Spanish, and life skills, including potty training.
What do the children eat at the center?
We provide a well-balanced, nutritional menu. Based on your child’s schedule, they will receive breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks at no additional cost.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
We observe the following holidays throughout the year: Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday following, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.
What security measures do you have in place?
Security is our top priority. Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art fingerprint system to ensure only authorized family members have access beyond our lobby. Your child will be safe within our walls with a 24-hour camera surveillance network. Our classrooms are also equipped with emergency exits. The Breakie Bunch playground is completely protected by fencing and there is no outside access (Waterford Location).
How can we communicate with our child’s teacher and check in periodically throughout the day?
Our Tadpoles app allows parents to leave notes for teachers about any important communications that need to be passed along. It also allows you to view your child’s daily report at any point in the day. You will receive pictures and videos of your child throughout the day and get a glimpse of what they are doing while at school. You will also be able to communicate easily with your child’s teacher via email or phone during their time at Breakie Bunch.
